START volunteers selling cupcakes for Heart & Stroke

Kwantlen’s START volunteers hosted a cupcake sale on Richmond campus today.

Kwantlen’s START volunteers held a bake sale on March 2 at Richmond campus with proceeds going to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Naveen Zafar, a volunteer mentor, organized the event and wanted to further START’s connection with the foundation.

This isn't the first time START has held a bake sale. They held one for breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Week in October. They will hold a bake sale at Surrey campus on March 3. Photo by Kyle Benning.
Reena Bali, the Kwantlen Student Associations Director of Events, said that she expects to raise close to $5,000 in donations for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Bali won't be the KSA's Director of Events when the new executive steps in on April 1. Photo by Kyle Benning
