The country is slowly going back to normal. Vaccines are rolling out, the mask mandate has been dropped for many businesses, the taste of freedom lingers in the air, and people are ready to start living again.

With this newfound future without the pandemic, it might be time to start thinking about parties again. There is a thrill of spending the night with your friends, trying new foods and drinks, and, of course, listening to a great playlist.

Here is a list of ten songs to add to your first post-covid party playlist:

1. “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black-Eyed Peas

An oldie but a goodie. This signature party song oozes good times and promises to keep you dancing all night long. Start the playlist off with a song to lift everyone’s spirits. This is the first party in over a year, so there is no doubt that “tonight’s gonna be a good night.”

2. “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” by Michael Jackson

I had to include the King of Pop somewhere on this list. Why not choose one that has such an amazing groove. The title symbolizes such a needed change to society.

3. “Physical” by Dua Lipa

This last year has been anything but physical. I wanted to add a song that went against everything the last year has taught us.

4. “Club Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida

When it comes to music and parties, Flo Rida is always on the list. This is a vibe that calls for a sing-along.

5. “VIDA LOCA” by Black Eyed Peas, Nicky Jam, Tyga

This song is meant to tell you to live the crazy life you wanted before the pandemic. Jam out and look forward to the future with another black-eyed peas song.

6. “Confetti” by Little Mix

If you’ve ever heard of this British girl group, you’ll understand how they can produce such fantastic songs with empowering lyrics—reminding us to forget the haters (I’m looking at you, corona) and that we are back and better than ever.

7. “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston

Need I say more?

8. “Save Your Tears For Another Day” by The Weeknd (Remix with Ariana Grande)

I think everyone can agree that this last year has been awful. Not only has the world physically suffered, but everyone’s mental health decreased as well. This song is a great reminder that even though times may still be hard, we can save our tears for another night. This night is about living, having fun and putting this pandemic behind us.

9. “Whatever You Like” by T.I.

A mellow and chill beat to groove too. This gives me major summer vibes. Chilling by the pool or taking that road trip with the windows down. Since this party takes place after the pandemic, you can truly have “Whatever You Like.”

10. “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar

Have you ever witnessed a group singing along to the same song? Well with this one everyone will be singing along. Even though they may not understand the words, this bop is one to end the night right. It’ll get everyone up on their feet, uniting in a way that had been taken from us for so long.

This playlist is guaranteed to boost your serotonin and fill you with good vibes. Now it’s just a matter of counting down the days to when we can actually put this playlist to good use.
