The Richmond Night Market is celebrating its 25-year anniversary until Oct. 13.

Some of the market’s attractions this year include the Skyrush Zipline, the Mega Pinball Duck Race, and the Happy Hour and After Party, market manager Karen Wan wrote in an email statement to The Runner.

The Skyrush Zipline, Wan wrote, is a “thrilling 600-foot aerial ride [that] lets visitors soar above the entire market, offering breathtaking views of the glowing lights and bustling crowds below. With four parallel lines, guests can ride alongside friends or race each other across the sky.”

Touted as being the “world’s first night market zipline,” this 30-second ride aims to make the Richmond Night Market’s 25th year an extra memorable one for visitors.

Tickets to the market are only available onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Mega Pinball Duck Race is an interactive pinball-style game, which “lets visitors launch pinball through a giant pinball course filled with lights, obstacles, and playful sound effects. It’s easy to play, fun to watch, and perfect for all ages,” Wan wrote.

Winners will receive a rewards card which they can then redeem for prizes, adding an element of friendly competition to the fun of pinball.

There will also be a Happy Hour, when visitors can enjoy all-night deals with featured food items under $10 and drinks priced under $7. The Happy Hour and After Party is a way to thank the community for 25 years of support, Wan wrote.

“This initiative is designed to make the market more affordable and inviting, while encouraging guests to sample a wider range of amazing dishes and drinks from across our 100+ vendors.”

Some of the new food options that will be available at the Night Market include the 25th year signature pineapple crème brûlée, mango sticky rice, custom design sugar art, and character cotton candy.

“[It] has become a beloved community cornerstone — a place where cultures come together, local businesses thrive, and families create unforgettable memories,” Wan wrote. “This milestone is a true reflection of the unwavering support from our visitors, who have helped establish the market as a must-visit summer attraction in Metro Vancouver.”

Wan added that she was grateful for the people who have kept the market going all these years, and is thrilled to celebrate this quarter-of-a-century milestone with visitors.

“Each year, we strive to bring something fresh, exciting, and memorable, and 2025 is no exception — with new attractions, innovative food creations, and surprises around every corner.”

She hopes visitors leave the night market enriched by experiencing a diverse range of foods, performances, and products from various cultures, as well as engaged by supporting a wide variety of local vendors and artisans and entertained by live performances and games.
