Night classes are a good time to doze off

Do you ever get a little bit tired of life, like you're hanging on by a thread but have to survive?

While classes can be enjoyable in university, there are times where you would rather be doing anything else rather than sitting in class, so much so that doing nothing often sounds more appealing.

Obviously, the average student goes to university to learn and gain skills that help them progress in life — at least that’s what I’m hoping they do.

However, some classes can be difficult to get through, whether it’s the content or the time it’s scheduled. There’s also a chance it could be because of the instructor, but that’s another set of problems for another article.

I will say, there was a class I was in where I wished I was doing just about anything else, mainly because it was held at 7:00 pm of all times. The course was so mind-numbing for everyone — I’d see some other students do other activities or focus on homework from other classes.

Even the instructor seemed so tired and done with teaching the class. I remember the class would sometimes end by 8:00 pm. I honestly can’t blame the instructor as there are so many other ways people would prefer to spend their night.

I probably should’ve paid attention to what was going on in the class, but feel free to guess who was playing card games online during that time, all while daydreaming about the fun activities I could be doing instead. Well, nightdreaming sounds more appropriate considering the class was at 7:00 pm.

I fantasized about the fun adventures I could go on, such as battling against rogue artificial intelligence to save the world. Another thought I came up with to keep my mind stimulated was battling interdimensional beings through card games to protect my own dimension.

I even thought through how I could get famous on YouTube by making content on card games, along with other creative and compelling videos I wanted to make. If you haven’t noticed already, I may or may not have been into card games when I took this class. Also, I said I fantasized about what I could be doing besides sitting in that night class — never said it had to be realistic.

Thankfully, the instructor would be reading off slides for most of the class, so it’s not like I missed out on much anyway.

I will say, this experience influenced me to never take a 7:00 pm class again. There’s more I could say about my negative feelings towards night classes, but that’s for another story.
