The Kwantlen women’s basketball team suffered yet another loss on Friday night, as they fell to the VIU Mariners on the road by a score of 78-44.
The Mariners, who came into the contest sitting in second place in the BCCAA women basketball standings, had no problem knocking off the eighth place Eagles.
Kwantlen continued to lack scoring as yet again only one player on the team was able to rack up points in the double digits.
Courtney Parker lead the way for her team with a mere 11 points and following her was Oxana Senyuk, with only 6 points of her own.
Overall, the two big difference makers in the game were the ability of the Mariners to find solid support from their players coming off the bench and their ability to make the Eagles turn over the ball.
VIU had 29 of their 78 points off of the bench, while the Eagles turned over the ball a total of 31 times.
The two teams will face off again tomorrow at 1 p.m. before Kwantlen ends its road trip on the Island.
